"A Vision For Eagle Pond 2001-2002"
Thanks to The Environment Agency, Lambeth Council, Clapham Conservation Partnership, and The Clapham & Stockwell Town Centre Board and many others. We have started the program of the regeneration of Eagle Pond, also included within this project is the creation of a new wetland area adjacent to the pond.

The project was started by removing the fish so that the job of de-silting the pond could begin.

The job of removing many decades of silt was a long and dirty job.

Before silt removal the fish had about 2 ft of water to swim around in, with the silt removed this has been increased to over 5ft in places.

This is the start of digging out the new wetland area next to Eagle Pond.......

After de-silting the pond was refilled with water and bales of Barley straw were introduced to try and help combat Algae-Bloom.

The job of planting out some 500 plus aquatic plants could now be carried out.
